Hi there.
I wonder, is it possible to download separate files and force installer to use them from local HD instead of internet?
Does installer support offline installation?

I guess no, but i can put downloaded mods & maps into Spring/mods/ & Spring/maps/ folders accordingly without decompressing downloaded files.
But where should i put .ufo files with units?

Your OTA folder, or the recycle bin. Just use mods for units- UFOs are loaded by spring but not by unitsync and thus result in desyncs ingame.slogic wrote:But where should i put .ufo files with units?

Put into recycle bin?! He-he, I just wanna play the game offline first & put some my favourite units in game.
Sorry, what exactly did you mean under OTA folder? Original folder of Cavedog's game? Or is it a base folder of Spring?

Yes, that is what I was referring to. UFOs and spring are not a good mix, generally.slogic wrote:Sorry, what exactly did you mean under OTA folder? Original folder of Cavedog's game?

Just to be absolutely clear, he was making a joke. He meant if you want to use UFOs you might as well just go Play TA instead of Spring because Spring doesn't deal with them properly anymore.
Re: Does installer support offline installation?
This is probably related to the following:
LordMatt wrote:This actually doesn't have anything to do with UF, but rather the fact that I (was) running the redirect script for the installer on my home machine, and then my IP changed after some thunderstorm induced downtime. We only intended the redirect to run on my machine temporarily while the spring server was moved, however fnordia and I both forgot it was running. I have notified him and this problem will hopefully be fixed soon. For now, you can download the files directly from the mirrors:

Sorry for the inconvenience.
