Spring RTS Engine

When i play spring, now all the units have 1 texture, and uhh that is a tan/beige metal with cross braces on it. And it's annoying because there is no team color, so i cannot tell which unit is on which team and tell them from wreckages. I can't see weapons either except projectile weapons, and i can't see the trails. I can't see lasers, plasma, etc. I eventually crash.

My OS is Windows Vista
uhhh and i have no other things to say.
I'm considering reinstalling spring, but i don't want to do it unless its absolutely necessary.

I'm reinstalling now, but help would be liked very much.
