Spring RTS Engine

I've never played this game but just by looking at the advertisement it looks like a complete copy of spring but in 2d.

Well looks rather like a mixture of Dwarf Fortress and a browser game than "Spring in 2d". Although you are right that they use some unit universe buildpics and maybe some unit names...
