OK, I have a bit of a weird problem. When I try to host a LAN game between 2 machines, they start just fine but actual games get out of sync. (and give a sync error w/ a hed code)
The lobby server (V.35 - TASServer_035.exe) is running on a Vista machine (plenty of horsepower. It was also hosting the battle, though I will try hosting and server on different machines. the other machine was an XP machine which runs TA-spring fine on it's own.
The way this manifests itself is that each player periodically stops seeing the new construction of the other player. In this way my son and I played against each other an we both won. If we play where we are both controlling the same player (not teams) then it works fine. If we ally 2 teams together or play competitively we lose sync. This has happened on 2 diff mods (BA 6.0 and XTA 9.4) and on diff maps.
Is there any way I can help document this?
thanks
K

Re: LAN lobby server loses sync
Either a file issue, or a router issue, try to update the router, and make sure if you're playing OTA based mods: BA, CA, XTA; that you have the OTA base content.

rcdraco - thanks for the reply.
I moved the LAN server and the game host to 2 different machines and everything is working fine.
