Spring RTS Engine

I have just installed Spring under Wine on Linux, everything seems to be working fine except that I don't know how to login to the server. Creating a new account logs me in and everything works OK but I don't know how to log in to an existing account and I don't think that the admins want me to create a new account every time I log in: After entering username and password hitting return doesn't work and there is no login button that I can see just a "new account" button.

have you seen that you can run spring natively on linux?

there is absolutely no need for wine, lobby clients for linux are also availabe (SpringLobby, AFLobby)

The button on the left top of the TASClient main window connects you to the server. (The one with the red outline if you're disconnected. (green if connected))

I tried installing it natively but entered what I believe is commonly called Dependency Hell. Installing under wine took less effort, which given that I shouldn't really be spending my time installing games won out.
