Paralyzed units unable to be hit

Recently ive noticed that paralyzed units, if they are rammed by another unit, become unable to be hit, and projectiles pass right through them.

Reproducing (using CA).

give corak
give armtick
give the AK to the other team (The tick should explode, paralyzing the AK).
give armstump.
FPS the stumpy and ram the AK (Note that you can ram the AK without FPS'ing, its just easier if you FPS), so that it moves off its original location..

Try shooting the AK with the stumpy, the projectile passes right through.

Note that this is NOT due to firing inside the hitsphere of the AK, as you can drive the stumpy away, and hit it from any distance, and the projectile always passes through.

Ram it into dead! :)

Does the effect only keeps on while the ak is paralized or will he became some sort of rambo after it worns off?

Only while paralyzed.

I think it also has to do with units 'drifting' after they are paralyzed as well (sometimes, they will just keep drifting in one direction, and even end up drifting over a cliff and only falling when un-paralyzed, like some warner-brothers cartoon).

Probably some updates being disabled while the unit is stunned.

No it was found out in 2004 and was finally decided to be told about today..

OFCOURSE SVN

That is a really serious bug. Imagin that happening to someone's com?

*walks around dgunning everything and being shot at without taking damage*

Fear not! Coms cant be paralized! :) However with immense cordination, tatical genius and a clift you could make it rain adv bombs on enemy base... :)

Walking and shooting won't work when you're paralyzed now will it? What makes you think this is automatically SVN? Most reportshere are for 75b2.

We're far too lazy to fix it then :P

(Not really, but you get the idea, right?)

You can always take the easy solution: remove the paralizing feature from the engine... never liked emp stuff anyway :)

Even if I disagree with the stance of Saktoth regarding this, here is the bug report in mantis:

http://spring.clan-sy.com/mantis/view.php?id=708

@for the rest (not the devs, of course  ) you know, you can do an account yourself.

Im busy, alright? Me not making a mantis report about it is just as bad as everyone else who now knows about the bug not making a mantis report.

I assure you it would have taken less than read all the replies on this thread. In my experience it's better to learn things the first time you need them, rather than trying to make people do it for you. (after you know how to do them it's ok to make other people do them for you :P).

Good at least it is fixed now. Thanks devs.
