Error starting SVN spring (0xc0150002). Normal Spring works.

Heyho people,

0.75b2 with the normal spring works just fine for me. I set all settings to low (except for unit LOD distance which is set halfway) and basic water at 1024x768 since my athlon xp 2400+ 1 gig ram with a radeon 9800 pro wont take more in larger games.

So far this is all just fine.

Now i installed spring SVN today (im still a bit in the dark what it is exactly) because it was needed for a certain mod (fibre v1). I downloaded the latest version (spring_0.75b2+svn4894.exe) and installed it in a new folder so it wouldnt fuck up the normal spring.

I got the following error:
in dutch:
"Kan de toepassing niet juist initialiseren (0xc0150002). Klik op OK om de toepassing te beeindigen."

Which translates to english to something like this:
"Can't initialize the application correctly (0xc0150002). Press OK to end the application"

So i asked around and it could be the same as the problem in this thread:

http://spring.clan-sy.com/phpbb/viewtop ... hlight=svn

So i followed all advice given in the thread which didnt help me anything.

Just to make it clear:

My normal spring runs just fine from both the lobby as spring.exe
The SVN install does boot the lobby but wont let me start a game from there and neither starts spring.exe. Both give the same error.

Could someone plz look at this. If further specs are needed just say which and ill provide em. ty.

done some bisecting with a friend with this issue; it's r4865.

temporarily you can use r4863 exe from here: http://buildbot.no-ip.org/~buildbot/spring/executable/

Seems like it has to do with the ogg/vorbis DLLs then, I fear someone has to build them from source after all if the Crystal Space ones don't work.

Why does Spring depend on the svn client?... weird.

I tried to build the vorbis libs but it's using a different build system which I can't get to run at all. Requires some perl scripts and they just don't seem to run, even though I got all the necessary stuff.
