I am a total newbie on Spring. What i have done till now is downloaded the spring complete download, put the settings to the lowest and run the spring.exe or the spring test. I could play a test map with a Zeus and another unit. I have P4 2.4GHz and 1 GB ram, but my video card sucks and I think it wasn't on the video card requirements list (it's a MSI 128 MB RX9250-T128 RADEON).

I had problems running with Spring Lobby a single game. I got the message
"missing default cursor".

how can I play the game, cause I bought long time ago TA and though it was great. Thanks.Sorry if my question is too noob.

any mod can work with any map (although some maps are designed for mods)

There is only one mod included with spring , which is XTA. To play online you proably want to get the other main mods (please don't start a war over these choices) Balanced annihilation and Complete Annihilation . These are not necessarily the best mods, just the major ones that will get you up and running. With regards to maps, Small Supreme Battlefield v2, Speedmetal, Greenfields, Tabula v2, Deltasiege Dry are popular.

Hope this helps you out.

Note that Speedmetal and Greenfields are gamebreaking for any mod so playing on them is a horrible idea if you want the match to be more than fooling around.

i agree with kdr.i posted them because they are popular maps, thats all.

No need to make them any more popular than they already are.

thanks to all, I downloaded the mods that clumsy_culhane posted.

But... could not run the CA r954 mod ---> "default cursor missing"

And tried playing the speed metal map online but after 1 minute the game I got an error and had to quit.
