Spring RTS Engine

I havent tested on other mods but at least when I try to run BA it errors on "sounds objects cant be created" Theres no soundcard on the computer and divx 9.0c
Ive disabled the sounds from the lobby settings but it doesnt seem to help much. Any ideas?

I think you'll need a virtual soundcard. Try google for something like a dummy driver that forwards any DirectX calls into nothingness.

disabling sound in the lobby just disables the notification sounds for private messages and highlights or logins. It has nothing todo with spring ingame.

Can you try pressing F6 (NoSound) in-game before you do anything else to see if that helps?

As I posted in lobby / #main, try settings MaxSounds to 0 in your registry
(unfortunately, the "Max Simultaneous Sounds" in the settings panel is
clamped to 8 on the lower end).
