Spring RTS Engine

as soon as i start playing spring the frame rate slows and weird squares appear on the screen also how do you get the files for hi res clouds, 3d trees etc.

3d trees etc dont need files. Those are graphics card extensions, litle bits of circuitry that form part of your gpus render line.

I assume its asking for the fragment program and the vertex program??

You have 2 options:

1) Your gfx card supports these but your drivers dont, Go check your drivers are all uptodate!

2) Your gfx card doesnt support them, and your probably running on itnegrated graphics or your running a card older than a geforceFX/GF5. In this case your stuck. You need to go get a new graphics card.

Random squares and other distortion sounds like overheating to me.

Are those squares green?

Green squares sounds like busted VRAM to me.
