Cloaked units are visible on opponents radar.
Is this a feature or a bug?
I certainly makes units as the infiltrator close to useless for infiltrating (doh...) bases, since they will be pounded to pieces by the defensive structures, especially when the opponent has an automated targeting system.
I believe it would be better if cloaked units were invisible to radar, but became visible if they got close to an enemy unit (this does presently not happen as far as i can tell).
Opinions?

For what i remember, cloaking and radar jamming were two differents features in OTA. If you want a unit to be totaly 'invisible', both on screen and on enemy radar, you need to put a long range radar jammer near the enemy base, than infiltrate it with an cloacked unit.
And for detection range, in OTA, there was a 'cloacking' range, which defined the minimum range for cloacking (ie : if an enemy unit enter this range, the unit become visible). This range don't longer exist, and i think this is a bug. I think so because in AA, there is in core army a cloacked/jammed unit called Commando. This unit explode like a small nuclear launch, and is able to annihilate a building. A technique is to infiltrate enemy base, and make the unit sell destruct. I tested it, and think nothing can counter that because there no more 'cloacking range' (sorry on all poor players on who i tested this techniques
)
I'm gonna put this bug/suggestion on SourceForge CVS later today. This must be corrected, or else, i wil always win the TA AA games i play

I stand corrected. Cloaked units should NOT be invisible to radar.If you want a unit to be totaly 'invisible', both on screen and on enemy radar, you need to put a long range radar jammer near the enemy base, than infiltrate it with an cloacked unit.
Please do! Cloaked opponent units MUST be visible when you get close enough, or gameplay will suffer.I'm gonna put this bug/suggestion on SourceForge CVS later today.
- Obviously, the distance within which cloaked units are visible should have the potential to be different according to the type of the cloaked unit.
- Equally obvious, the viewing distance of a cloacked unit must be somewhat larger than the distance within which enemy units can detect it.
