perhaps your internetconnection disconnects? (wlan?) and it is better to play with other beginners to get more experience, in a game with all experienced players you cant stand a real chance and thats very frustrating...

hmmm, that makes sense, but, as i said, how to keep the client from disconecting while i play the game(online!); or is this the reason it doesn't record minutes into my status?

You can still join high rank games, it just warns you. Also, the high rank games are very very rare.

just ask when you join, "May I spec"... trust me, you will learn a lot AND gain ingame time... (assuming they let you and you pay attention
)
