You are not supposed to get it.
Satirik mentionned freezing because there's
another book to grab nearby.

Some stuff seem pointless...what the hell is the point of the grease spell that you find at the begining?
also you ARE suppose to get it though i have no idea why youd ever need random teleportation.
The trick shown in the video is super hard...

Is there something more powerfull than the meteor shower?
Havent played much yet but i did pass the first boss, the snake.
the best way i found for killing it was placing shields close to it and letting it bump into them.

Yes, but a lot of things won't make sense until you get about 4 hours into the story.
...but to answer your question: There is no best spell; different spells excel at different things.
Q-F-S-A-A-A is ridiculously powerful vs. armored enemies, for example

At first I used lightning-arcane, then I heard about steam-lightning-arcane, and today I found steam-lightning-arcane-fire. It shoots such a big laz0r!
I kinda like surrounding myself with area shield-earth-fire too.
Played a bit online, the menu were unreadable, like lit by a most often spent flickering candle, but ingame we crashed only twice (when fighting for zelda's master sword, and when I went to a troll cave in the forest). Otherwise it was very random, I kept dying.

How boring. I killed it by shoving earth-arcane, or earth-arcane-fire, down its throat, by firing them at the exact moment it lower its head, instant before coming to bite me.

My keyboard is azerty, so I had to remap keys. I assume you mean water fire arcane lightning lightning lightning. Does having three lightning instead of one change things much? I almost never double or triple elements, cause I couldn't see difference when I tried.

I bet you also fought masses of enemies by hiding under your area shield making burning rocks spawn on the other side of it while stacking upon shield-life-area healing balls inside and attacking archers with rock charged sword from under.

Yes, Z, steam, arcane, lightning lightning lightning.
More elements increase damage slightly. I haven't noticed a visual difference though. steam+lightning is good, because it makes enemies wet and electrocutes them simultaneously.
You'll soon notice (if not already) that everybody develops their favorite spells, techniques, and combos. It's a really interesting and flexible part of the game, and discussing favorite spells is also lots of fun!
Also, today, I discovered an exciting new technique while playing with Alcari. Shield yourself (and tell your teammates, too), then cast rain. Immediately after, cast blizzard. This freezes EVERYTHING!
Now use your favorite non-fire beam spell to rip out swathes of enemies!

Wau thats complex...
I usually just use the arcane zwwwww thingy combined with something else like cold in case it something big like a troll.
