What? Eat shit y'all. I was just saying there's a ton of disinformation. There are climate change "believers" who predict the end of the world next week, there are ones who say we've got fifty years.
There are "non-believers" who are positive global warming is fake/lie/hoax for whatever reason, and there are some who pretend to be "believers" to make them sound crazy.
There are scientists who say climate change is a crock, and there are ones who say it's happening because of humans, and there are ones who say it's happening but has nothing to do with humans.
And to make matters worse, Al Gore and others are profiteering on one side, while other people are profiteering on the other side. Oil industry wants global warming to be written off, while clean energy companies want it to scare people into being willing to pay a huge premium.
And then there's the ever-present smug douchebag driving a Prius that makes me want to start a tire fire just to piss them off.
I gave up trying to have an informed opinion on global warming/climate change like 5 years ago.

It's getting to the point that even trying to publish honest science on the issue is a sure way to get political pressure applied to your funding source. So even the honest, apolitical scientists end up "taking sides" just to keep themselves in business.

In the long and short of it, how problematic is climate change?

Florida freezes to death after getting one night -2 celsius. Thats all.

No, Florida is close enough to the equator that it will get hotter there instead of colder. But it won't be a problem, since nobody there in their right mind would go outside as it is.
98% of Florida are geriatrics anyway, they won't live long enough to drown from rising ocean levels.

they already did do a -1 celsius night... -2 isnt that unpossible, just for one night, and BAM, all dead.

there is definitive proof that we can make holes in the ozone layer, isnt that a pretty good indication that things are going to go terrible wrong?

Obviously that depends on if you are pro-ozone or not.

12.000 years actually, 'cause the last ice age was 10.000 B.C. and last time I checked, we lived in 2010 A.D.

No it is roughly 10,000. This is the great worry, that we are well overdue for an ice age, and this may be due to global warming (though i disagree because global warming only started around the year 1800 lets say, which means we were already 1800 years overdue..)

Man made climate change is fact. There is no dispute. The opposing side, from the perspective of the scientific community, is pretty much equivalent to the flat earth movement, they are just much more vocal and publicized. They are buffeted by the masses of people who fear change.
The dispute lies in questions as to "what will the effects be in the long term" and "what are we going to do about it"?

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century was very likely caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation.[2] The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanic eruptions had a small cooling effect after 1950.[3][4] These basic conclusions have been endorsed by more than 40 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries.[5]

What sucks is this feverfantasia of people beeing able to change there enviromental-lifestyle through pure willpower and freedom of thought alone? How idiotic is that? Poor apes need strong goverment, to overcome there lack of willpower and brainbugs like the "peacock" one!
