Regardless of whether people on this forum use ModDB, it's got a vast audience (multiple hundreds of people on there at any given time) of people who are already interested in trying out non-commercial games. It's probably the most effort-efficient way of advertising a game at this early stage, since with a single newspost you can be frontpaged on moddb for a day or two, which gets you at least a thousand views over those two days.

What I am telling you in a very roundabout way is stop overreacting just because it's argh. Yes I am very well aware that argh has done some incredibly stupid things (mainly in the name of GPL vs EE), and I'm sure everyone here remembers them... You don't need to go shouting it from the rooftops just because it's argh.
