The size of the guns would make aiming a real pain.
I'm not sure he has a heart, seems like his internal organs were butchered as part of the not-being-dead-anymore process.

The guns are smaller in the game, they're exaggerated in that pic.

1: Ashley:Wild Arms 2 (The best {or close to it} RPG for playstation.. I rename mine Hiro for some reason..)
2: Ryu, from breath of fire: Each of his up+b, down+b, etc. Would be a different dragon attack..
3:Ed: Full metal alchemist.. 'Nuff said..
4:Kiba:Wolves Rain
5:Kenshin: Samurai X
6:Kurama, Yusuke, Hiei, and Uhmm, everyone from Yu Yu hakusho
7:Nightmare: Soul Calibur: hehehe...

Gordon Freeman? But he doesn't have any melee attacks to speak of... I guess he's out.
Hmm... This is a really hard list. I think SSBB already has every good game character ever. Maybe Sonic?

Aha, here's a couple good ones. Earthworm Jim and Phoenix Wright. Phoenix makes people confess their sins and surrender, that's his only attack and it works every time.

Ahahah.. Not really.. Before they made all the fucken fillers, it was pretty good.. Now its just a never ending charade... "oh yeah, in one movie Naraku dies and comes back" real inventive aren't they...

They need to add some Golden Sun characters... Isaac and Mia would be good choices
(Mia = self-healing, Isaac = kick Trogdor's ass
)

I almost forgot these two charicters
Commisar Cain: His job is to shoot cowards in the back. He's very good at it, being a coward himself. For some reason cowardice in the face of the enemy, when viewed in the right light, looks exactly like heroisem. Why? Well the fact that everyone else was killed by the big spikey thing with horns, so no one can say "Thats not how it happened".... Cain is also funny as all hell, and my favoret Warhammer 40K charicters...well...ever.
Space Marine: Space marine! Changing the colour changes the chapter. You know how you can change you're color in SSB, right? So you could chose like...Blood Angles, Ultramarines, Space Wolves and...well...er...Dark Angles? That covers Blue, lighter blue, red and Green.
