There's also the fact that you can...you know...AIM with a PC.

I know. The only good FPS for console is timesplitters, because it gives you a slight auto-aim. And its generally good. How the fucker do haloers manage to aim on an Xbox? It takes me like 15 minutes to line a shot in halo O_o

See the trick is: They don't. They really don't try to aim.
Its always grenades, AOE guns, and rapid fire machine guns spraying bullets everywhere. I have yet to see a single sniper in Halo on the X-box. There are probebly a few, but they much be...magic or something.

I personally only use the PC for two genres of games: RTS and Simulation.
MMORPGs are crap, and even if standard RPGs are better on the computer, it hardly matters as no video/computer RPG comes close to a table-top.
I prefer my shooters on Consoles for numerous reasons...
1. It's harder to cheat, particularly in multiplayer.
2. Four people in the same room on a two-hundred dollar investment with amost no heat generation beats four people in the same room with eight thousand dollars of equipment and a jump in temperature of thirty degrees any day.
3. Aiming on the PC is far too simple and indeed it detracts from gameplay. I mean, it's a bloody mouse. Point and click.

I disagree with the mouse. It requires skill, but its not impossible, like a joystick you use with your thumbs.
Also I like computers more because the games are just...better. I don't know why, but they just play better. The best console games I've ever played were cross platforms (Oblivion, Halo and so on). And not ALL MMO's are crap. I mean look at the completely free 'Face of Mankind'. I wrangled a good month of play time out of that. Then it got dull, but so does every game.
But I do agree with the party system. The PC is NOT a party system. It IS a system for people who like to just sit there and play for several hours. Its the 'hardcore fanboy' system. Yes I'm a fanboy, you wanna fight about it!

the whole point on the consoles is
1: its more comfortable especially with friends and relatives
2: great for multiplayer with real people (do YOU have 6 PC's networking in your house?)
3: its more skilled
4: its easily possible, agent under fire (best FPS ever tbh...) i used to pistol moving targets from halfway across the map without ag (no autoaim of course) and with the sniper rifle i had some 80% accuracy, headshots all on moving targets.
trust me they can be great fun on consoles. GREAT fun!

Yes, If the target is a complete and utter noob and is standing in the same place. If you've ever tried hitting a good skulk in Natural Selection then you will know that it's utter bullshit.

I almost forgot. Consols can be fun (Super Smash brothers and I have a long, sorrdid history), but PC's are just...better. For me at least.
Opinions differ.

It's still absurdly easy in comparison to actually, I don't know, lining up your shot? Besides all of the aim-hacking I see on PC shooters.

::raises hand::
Consoles are crap. Simply put. 5 minutes of playtime max.
PCs just provide so much more depth, i feel so much more involved when i play a PC game.
