Not sure why it costs 9.99Ôé¼ at Steam for me... and 9.99$ for Israelis... seems a bit unfair
There is some crazy stuff going on with Steam prices when it comes to $ and Ôé¼.
also, Is this game available for XBOX 360?or?

Saw an article today along the lines of that the people making the game are aware of the online-multi-player awfulness and are sorry about it... they did test it a lot but admit that the tests could have been more exhaustive... They plan to patch and resolve the issue in the near future.

This game is epic fun, but it NEEDS to be played in multiplayer to get the full effect. Worth every bit of $10.

i hope they'll fix the desync problems soon because it's a pain to play, and the "authentification failed" too

I am in love with the gameplay. I've always wanted an rpg like this where you could make your own spells <3

Is this another hyped up piece of shit or is it actually good?

It's great, however unlike other rpg's (except maybe guild wars) it's very very twitch gameplay.

Download the demo and find out
we both know you'll prolly just be a buttpirate anyway. I however am planning on buying this, it's an ingenious concept and it works well.

After my purchase of minecrap i dont have much motivation to buy games in the near future(though sc2 is paying for itself well).
If this game is all about multiplayer than obviously ill have to buy it but yeah...i might pirate it and see if i like it or maybe getting the demo would be even more effective(faster).

I made that thread, I bought it, and I don't regret it (well unless they don't fix the fucking bugs), and I didn't buy minecraft because it sux and it doesn't deserve my money, I am awesome, ofc if Forb says it's good you might think it sux (that's what I would do) but it's not, you can download the demo on steam, 200MB of bugs

why is it good ?

1) because you have to find the best combinations spells, i'd say there are maybe 20 combination, and few of them are very good so you have to try and get the best one according to the situation (the teaser says thousands of combinations it's wrong)

2) there is no XP, no mana, no stuff (well there are weapons and staffs but it's really not important), only real experience, you have to learn the spells and cast them as fast as possible

3) complete friendly fire meaning you can hurt your teamates and heal your ennemies, and it often happens and many things are better in coop, for instance you heal the other player faster than yourself, or you can cross the beam to make a stronger one, but if the beams are opposite you just make a big explosion and both players die etc etc

4) it's not just i get the most powerfull spell and spam it (even if you just won't use 30 different spells), if you're wet, you'll get hurt every time you use a thunder element, the mobs can be resistant to fire so if you only use fireball it won't work, so you have to learn a lot of things not just the good spells

so it's a pure skill game, very simple just 8 element and 3 ways to cast spells, very buggy with the worst lobby ever, and very fun in coop

this book is the teleport spell the grease one is not there it's on an island on the right, you have to freeze the water to get it, but stop reading the forums etc, discovering is one of the fun part of magicka
