UK is not technically in recession, it has 1% growth.

And tbh this guy and all his group deserves it. Its like a monster coming here from middle ages to preach about evil condoms, deny child abuse, claim that atheists are like nazis and that enlightement was wrong step and personal freedoms are bad and church is going to save us from it.

I'm really surprised they don't preach flat earth anymore.

Sorry, what is it about the pope using £12,000,000 pounds of our money on luxury hotels and God knows what else, that isn't outrageous?

And what in Christ's name happened to:
Deut. 15:7. "If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers, in any of the towns of the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand to your poor brother; but you shall freely open your hand to him, and generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lacks."

Luke 12:33. "Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves purses which do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near, nor moth destroys."

Luke 3:11. "And [John the Baptist] would answer and say to them, "Let the man with two tunics share with him who has none, and let him who has food do likewise."

Luke 6:24. "But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort in full."

Prov. 29:7. "The righteous is concerned for the rights of the poor; the wicked does not understand such concern."

1 Tim. 6:10. "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang."

To name a few..

I guess you could literally eat an orphanage, but the brick might need to be washed down with some roof tiles or mortar.

How dare you cling to those worldly posessions of yours, isnt it written that before a rich man goes through the eye of a needle for a cameltoe, ahem something goes to heaven. ;)

I wonder, is there no catholic, irish, leprechantroll, ready to jump to that old mans defense? All he wanted was some love, and some whoreship, and some money, and your children, and well, hand it all over, nice and easy.

"the earth is flat" is not the same as "the earth is the center of the universe"

The earth is the center of the universe- its just the bigbang that happened completely de-centered, and baggyd the universe. Yeah, opens your eyes, drops your jaws, the most important creature in this worlds, and you run out of words.

The article references flat earth creationists and many other catholic endorsed oddities

Believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster, as he is the Creator of all, not that deceitful pope.

The universe is created by marbles (See Chaotic Inflation Theory and how to make marbles).
