Well, when Arnie reloaded he either swung the shotgun around in a 360 or just gave it a jolt up and down

Lever action shotguns are delicious.

Perhaps he'd just picked up the shotgun? As we speak, the hud is flashing yellow and the message "You got the shotgun!" is in the console. He just hasn't put it away or switched to it yet.
