Because we can have Signatures... oh, and ppl, Flash is allowed by default, users beware.

Looked at the image issue. There are plugin mods for PHPBB3 that resize images within the text body, so that's a possible (if CPU-hungry) solution.

The bigger issue is that the 'board isn't resizing dynamically to the window size, so we're still stuck with this itty-bitty Forum frame no matter how big our screens are  That'd solve that problem for the vast majority of users.

And, um, am I the only person who thinks that that the Font Color display on the right should be displayed below the Smilies, wasting less screen space?

No. Bad idea. I don't want to be forced to mess with my window size every time I switch between forum tabs and normal pages. The problem is that the background never resizes, and never has. Before the buttons at top and bottom had their own seperate backgrounds that resized, but in a width-broken short topic you could always see the fixed-width true background at the bottom.

I think we just need more smilies. :-)

And I don't think we need the huge highlights whenever a mod is author or last poster.
Edit: It seems to be admins only.

Board index wording == too small.
I used to be able to click right in the up left with near impunity, this will take some getting used to...

It all looks fine here and I'm running on a laptop screen so the text is extra small for me, on top of my problems reading small text and my need of glasses for them I'd say that the fact I can read them far better than prior to the upgrade is a vast improvement.

PHP3 makes moderation/administration roughly 800% faster and better. Therefore you can all bawwww and hoot but we're not rolling back to PHP2, end of story. Feel free to point out problems and we'll try to fix them though :)

Also, I'll most likely block flash if I see it used for virtually anything I find annoying :?. It's easy to turn off.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling uncomfortable with this new software.

I loved the last one for it's simplicity. This seems to have added a lot of unnecessary bloat...

Anyway, it's unlikely that we're going to go back;

Can anyone work out what is wrong with my link formatting here:

AF, if your post was aimed at me, this was what I was talking about.

Image

It is SO small. It is almost unbearable. The old Board Index was about as large as that whole image...

AF explained it. You can't have a break in a url link. This is annoying, as you could in the previous software. It means all of the links made to our new forum in my thread are now broken.

This new forum has yet to add anything that I really needed, and thus far has changed plenty of things that were working fine previously.

Is there any ability to allow a break in a url link?

It's not whether Flash is annoying. It's a security risk. Having it on for user profiles as the default is bad security policy, imo. Meh, it's already too late, I've already fixed mine, and since it doesn't seem to display anyhow, just like signatures, who cares

I'm really getting annoyed by the little "report" buttons on the right. They're floating all over the place!
They should get their own spot in the message footer, imho.
Same with the online/offline button.

Fixed wide images breaking layout. (max width is 500 pixels now, anything above will just be rendered at 500px)

but how will we break threads now? :(

also with this new layout the new threads in the mod forum dont start until half a screen, maybe some of those stickies can be put in an archive dealy, since they're mostly tutorials anyway.
