every single one should be unchecked, then put all sliders but LOD to the left.

also, set to basic water

Seriously, fix your attitude.

Anyway, the glew32 error looks like you are using an older glew32.dll with a recent spring.exe. Dropping my dll, which I posted earlier, in the folder of your SVN build should fix this. However I was perfectly able to run spring with either DLL (they're both 1.4.0).

You probably messed up at some point. So, download the full SVN installer, install it to some other directory, run spring.exe. If the error pops up, drop my dll in the folder and overwrite the older one. If the error still pops up then no idea. Can't use the next version of spring then.

Also, settings are unimportant at this point because you can run spring even when you are missing some non-crucial OpenGL extensions.
