Hmm, installed the new version, and I now get flickering. Mostly in the sky, but also sometimes huge polygons appear from water edges (when reflective water is on). When basic water is on, there are still flickering polygons in the sky and along th edges on the screen.

Never had this problem before. Ati 9700, no AA, 24bit Zbuffer, no Vsync, 1280x800.

Any ideas?

Try setting the Z-buffer to 16 bit. Most tomes this helps.

Tried that. Also tried almost every other combination of settings. Problem persists: Water flickers on water maps (basic or reflective), sky flickers, if I zoom in on land without water or sky the screen edges flicker.

Highly annoying and unplayable :(


e: aaaaargh, I can't find a solution! I can't play Spring anymore! Bloody hell.

For some obscure reason, the problem has disappeared completely. All my settings are as they were before, but there is no more flickering.

I don't get it, but I'm happy.

Thread can be deleted if anyone cares.
