Yeah, The Zodiac stuff is quite useless because its the same everywhere on the world.
But, funnily enough, it actually matters which month of the year you have born at. There was a study about this recently, for example those who born at winter, most probably have weaker immune system etc... cant rem exactly but it was quite important anyways. It also does affect your personality too.
Seasonal rhythms do affect a people. For example, some people who live in areas very far north where there's not as much daylight in the winter time may have more of a tendency to become depressed in the winter because they don't get enough sunlight. However, people who live closer to the south where the weather is warmer tend to be more openly (as in they don't stay in the house and will go out in the open to argue) aggressive because it's hot outside. So, yea time of year as it relates to seasonal changes can affect a person, but, in my opinion, not to the extent or in the way that astrologers like to say that it does.
I still like to joke with Smoth about his horoscope, though. His horoscope says that he is diplomatic and urbane, romantic and charming, easygoing and sociable, and idealistic and peaceable. I think that his horoscope sounds sweet. Smoth is sweet!
