hm, as if normal heavy metal music did not have enough clich├®s already but power metal tops it without sounding ironic and just makes you go wtf.
nwobhm stuff is ok mostly but lots of that power metal stuff sounds they tried to make Mercyful Fate / Judas Priest more epic but somehow it just ended up gayer. Don't like the cheesyness most of it has, like the choirs, keyboard, the overall bombast and always the same riffs & drums. I can listen to it when in the mood but somehow not for long.
Reminds me too much of Volksmusik Schlager.

Alot of this euro power is way too gay (happy) sounding and plastic, lacks the edge you need to make proper heavy metal. This tilulilu hilipatipippan shit is horrible, it simply has no balls.
