Dont see it as a bullet, see it as a speedlead-implant, the latest in closecombat(martialArts) and posecomebed(sex).
Do you feel plain, ordinary and had a lousy day, take the bullet and hey, an hero on his way. Right now you could be smokin through your chin.




You can have the same effect by drinking water out of lead pipes or get a lead pipe smiten over your head. Just needs some time to work out. Avoid uranium bullets, they are a rip off and you beside a constant radiant smile, you get a heavy headache, if they dont smash through your mind completely.

Oh and yeah, iron sights works and loading animations are decent, so definently much better fps experience.

I think so too, the sneak attacks with the silenced rifle are fun.
(One head shot from 50-100m while being undetected)

You could do this in f3 too but you needed a sniper rifle.

Unfortunately the weapon textures arent high res enough for iron sights.
They always look blurry.
Some character models are just bad but I like the quests so far.

I can't like Fallout 3. The weapon simulation is just too bad for me to accept it. It completely breaks my immersion every time one of the guns does something stupid.

Don't get me wrong, I have pretty good suspension of disbelief, unrealistic I could handle. But it's just too far for me that in first person mode you can't hit worth dick with your hunting rifle, so you swap to magic slow mo rambo mode, and rail off 3 bolt action shots into the enemies eye in the duration of 3 fully automatic rounds from their AK 47 firing at you.

Vats was supposed to simulate first person combat when the action got too intense to manually moderate it, not invalidate almost all first person combat all together.

gah..vegas seems really retarded....whats with the retarded plot...First time i started the game i quit after i watched the intro...the introduction is horribly dumb.

Oblivion engine shows once again it is not for fallout...
Again characters i cant kill...static world....this is a 10 worse version of fallout 2 plot wise but in 3d using an engine that reminds me of a fantasy game..

well, i had same issue with characters as u. but look at this from the different side, u expect as good game as f2, in f2 it was exactly the same, killing some characters was almost impossible even if he had no armour. problem is that it looks bit stupid in 'fps' 2010 game. if u can deal with it and realise f2 u loved had same problem, it should be ok.

lets be honest, all fallouts started dumb, finding water chip, geck, ur father. later plot started to speed up. actually, i personally think that f3 plot was AMAZING. ppl attached to pc, controled by little girl or this vault with hallucinations (last one, in my opinion, was most entertaining 30 min in my gaming experience)

oh btw, most reviews ive read (well known and respected gaming magazines/websites) said that plot is the best from all parts. least 'linear'. main thing that convinced me to buy it so fast.

Bethesda published it. Obsidian Entertainment developed it.

Also, I'm rather enjoying it. Like I said before, the weapon selection is better this time around, and I feel like I still have a lot more to find. Some of the quests have impressed me too, in terms of multiple ways to complete them. Some of the other quests are pretty short and simple though.

Vegas in hardcore mode on very hard more is an absolutely superb experience. FA3 was mediocre at best, but vegas is incredible.

Oh im playing hardcore very hard...I always play on hardest in all games (with a few exceptions).
It is way too easy and dumb!!
From the get go i start murdering people with a charisma character with 4 strength and 5 endurance and crap...Seriously...
I murder the starting town than murder the gang members.
Than i go on a killing spree where i kill anyone i meet including a few dozen geckos ghouls and ncr randoms and bandits...

I also tried finishing quest lines in several towns by talking and crap and its just boring...
Seriously...this game is completely unappealing and lacks atmosphere..
Static world,dumb and shallow scripting and boring zzz plot and dialogues.
Also the world itself feels so cramped..All towns are in 2 minutes walk from one another...
Gah they should have not limited themseles to voicing each and ever line!! maybe than they could have some interesting dialogues logner than 3 lines and had more flexability to change them and make them have some style or depth....
This game is pathetic if you'v played 90s rpg,fallout 2 or planescape torment...

I played this game day and night and Im at about 20+ hours gaming time.

The trick is the same as in f3: dont do the main quest but do the side quests first.


I also applied a stutter fix that is a d3d9.dll that you put in the game folder.
Now I have 2xAA and 16x aniso in 1680X1050 with my not so new gfx card
and 40-50- 70 fps everywhere.

I murder the starting town than murder the gang members.

I murdered the great khans because they have great weapons like the hunting shotgun or the trail carbine.
Load those with slugs or hollow points and you can kill anything.
+I got a sniper as companion so its almost impossible to get killed.

True but the plot in f3 was almost as pathetic as in new vegas still the game is great for exploring and collecting weapons and mod them.
And you can chose different sides you want to fight on, like the ncr or caesars legion.

This is not really a story campaign game its a do what you want game.

If i want to read a lot then I read a book but I dont play a game.
Reading pages of dialogue is boring.
And again play your nostalgia games for 20h and see if you feel the urge to kill yourself because they are more boring than you might remember.
