a quick googling yielded this...
http://most-expensive.net/computer-world which for only 400 million seems a reasonable price... i'll get it as my next rig if i can get a pink case.
but in seriousness, whats the most expensive setup for a PC that you can buy just wandering into a parts store or ordering online? imagine money was no object and bang-for-buck not a concern
the most expensive alienware is a measly $3999 cdn which is unacceptably low... tiger direct has a graphics card alone that costs almost as much! find me something more expensive! and yes, customized and jewel encrusted computers are acceptable as long as there is a price.

The Origin PC is about 8,000 USD and has a watercooled 360 in the case.

Ars Technica has a guide for making the "God Box":
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/guides/2 ... tion.ars/4
It totals at $12,635.02, although they do mention that they show a tiny bit of restraint, as "God is not a glutton". Far far more then I will ever spend on a computer though.

And in 10 years you'll be lucky to get a quarter for what you bought it for.

Re: the most expensive computer
