Failed version check?

When I check for new version, it states: Your SpringLobby is not up to date. Your version: unknown. Latest version: 0.87
This becomes a problem when I try to save/load a game; when I try to load a game it says No compatible installed version has been found, this savegame requires version: (it is blank here) Your current installed versions are 0.81.2

And that then tells me that I need to update Spring (unless it lies). How do I get version 0.87? Apt says that it is at the latest version.
