Folding@Home - Help research diseases!

Folding@home is a distributed computing project

Protein folding is linked to disease, such as Alzheimer's, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers
Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. "misfold"), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.
There are clients for Windows, Linux, (Intel) Mac and PS3.

How many points per day do you get? I figure ill get around 600-700 with my CPU, and around 10000 with my gtx 460 if the quick research I did was accurate. So is 11k ppd average or..?

No idea, I only discovered it earlier when looking at the GT460 review on guru3d.com (because of your mentioning of the 460 in the other thread. :P )

Also I get a BSOD to do with an infinite loop if i open the visualisation of the GPU client whilst Opera is running. Which is annoying, as its neat to look at. :(

I think my PS3 does that when I forget to turn it off.

My PC already overheats on me this summer, I've gotta buy one of those stupid air cans that blows dust all over your face. No folding at home for me right now.
