Beat Hazard

Post by Panda »

Beat Hazard is an awesome game! Playing it reminds me of that movie, "The Last Star Fighter" only the graphics in this game are better. You can also pick your own music to play to. Your ability to shoot the enemies, proportion enemies attacking you, the difficulty level, and how fast the enemies are moving is based on the beat of the song. If you like music and star fighter/flight games, you should give this game a try. It's a lot of fun!

Can anyone recommend any other great Indie games?

Soul (adventure) 7.5 looks neat, sort of like a fantasy anime.

House of Cockroach (cockroach-shooter) 6.5 could be funny. I wonder if you can break the dishes.

Has anyone ever tried Time Flows, But Does Not Return 5.5, ezmuze+, or the previous 2 games mentioned?

ezmuze+:

If you're into music games, there's also Auditorium

http://www.playauditorium.com/

Simple physics-oriented puzzle with a music theme. I got it in the Cipher Prime Indie Game Valentines pack... but they obviously only bring that pack out for special occaisions (I mostly bought it for Eufloria, And Yet It Moves, and Osmos, but Auditorium is good).

:-) Thanks! Auditorium looks great! I've decided that I don't really like the ezmuze+ game. Auditorium looks better, and I don't particularly like a lot of the songs made on ezmuse+. They appear to be really repetitive and the tone color seems harsh.

beat hazard is damned cool.

btw, i know you watch ninja warrior (because you suggested it to me kekeke) how about the guy this year falling off that super tall "jump straight backwards across the gap and grab the board"... i honestly thought he was taking it all the way!

i managed to climb up a set of fire escape stairs on the bottom, maybe i'll try out next year... just need more cardio (or any cardio)

Also part of the Cipher Prime Valentines bundle http://www.theindiebundle.com/. Hopefully they'll run it again for Xmas or something.. I played the first few screens and found it pretty good - but I'm not so interested in the genre - Goblins was the only adventure/puzzler to hold my attention. Uninstalled it and gave it to my nieces.

Beat Hazard is awesome, especially on the PC (has better music there).

Machinarium looks like a good game too.

I didn't get to watch it, but it sounds exciting.

Ayako Miyake is great too!

Wow, really! I'll watch if you make it on the show. Are you thinking about doing any kind of personality thing, like the sushi guy?:

ninja warrior top 5 craziest challenges

Hey, check out this lady and that guy. I bet they could do some Ninja Warrior stuff.

Lilia Stepanova - America's got talent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbA7t0lu ... 2ZGW11xG04

I can do similar stuff, except my balance while doing handstands is not that good.

Russian Freestyle Wall Climbing Freerunning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-J8UtZR6 ... CQH067Llz4

I can climb, but I'm not as strong or skilled as the guy in that video is and I stay in safer areas as opposed to things like the sides of buildings. I learned that that from practice doing acrobatics.

What about you? That Downward Globe Grasp part looks very difficult and they have to go over this pit of greenish looking water.

That guy must be really strong to be able to build up the momentum needed to swing himself over building edges like that.
