I don't get it. All I see is three empty squares, a title, and a copyright.

The best part is that in order for it to really work I have to not care what you think!

Sinbad you really need to get on some antidepressants and stuff. Seriously, reading your posts, you seem to be on your way to doing something foolish.

At the very least, try and take some of the other moderators down with you, alright?

If he's got enough of a sense of humor left to attack us with that level of dry wit, I'm not too worried :regret:

Wait till I change my location to "Unemployed and living in an economically depressed factory town who's claim to fame is a knife factory, movie theater and super-walmart with my wife and two kids in my mother and father in law's spare room while my all my worldly possessions sit in storage."

Holy crap, you really are well-off. I could fit a wife and kids in one room along with all my worldly goods.

Of course, the kids would in actuality have been sent away and we'd just be collecting welfare and child support (separately).

At least 10. Those high school girls I used to conduct wild harem sessions with don't count, ofc- they were having a "religious experience" when they decided to drink that Kool-Aid.

And Sinbad, that sucks.

So, let's look at things:

A. Are there opportunities to bag groceries or wipe tables locally? If the locality's the pits, that may be the choice that's left, but it's better than nothing, in all the senses of the word.

B. If the local area's not going to work, then you need to search farther afield, and get something, even if that means that you won't see your family a lot for a few months. There are worse things.

C. Having been in similar shoes once, all I can say is that doing nothing is the worst thing. I was so poor once that I had to walk two miles every day to work on Third at a crappy convenience store that sold alcohol. But the walk was good exercise, and while the pay sucked, it beat starving.

D. Having a shitty job for awhile is a lot cheaper than divorce, on a lot of levels.

There's a call center... it's like the king of crappy jobs AND I have already had my soul extracted by working in a call center for 5 years before...

edit: Also, your well thought out advice is harshing my buzz... it hard to feel sorry for myself when you are all being so darned positive.

Call-centers suck, yes. There really are worse things, though.

Get it, and keep sending resumes out, or decide on a structured educational thing to work on for awhile, to improve your skills and make you more interesting to employers. It will suck, but if you've got a job and are firm about your intentions, it won't last forever.

And as for yer buzz... meh... you're a bright guy, you really care for your family, and I know you'll get this done.

I've seen other troubles in my life, to be sure, but that was the closest I've been to being totally homeless and starving, thank goodness :-)

My apartment burned down with pretty much everything I owned in it once.

You do seem like a pretty bright person, Sinbad. I'm sure you will be able to find something.
