Wow! Scientists can pipe a blue light into a mouses brain to drive it to turn endlessly in circles.

This is supposed to be a part of the field of Optogenetics which used to provided insight into the the circuitry of the mammalian brain in order to help find treatments for neurological disorders.

That sounds kind of like some sort of strange science fiction stuff where a laser pointer could be used in mind control where people could be turned into the Borg. I'm sure it doesn't work like that. It would be freaky and, in my opinion, dangerous to try and control the mind and emotions to that extent.

I wouldn't want to have to put a light into any sort of rodent's brain, especially the chinchilla.

I much prefer the less complex form of mind control by which we give the mouse a cocaine drip with a pressure toggle, and the mouse hits the toggle until it passes away. Or the direct electrical stimulation of a particular region of the mind, resulting in much the same.

Thats not anything new, you have remote controlled bugs (as in animals) with electrodes implanted while they are in pupal stage.
You have robots controlled by brain tissue in can and there was mouse with camera that was remote controlled by sending signals to neurons that process whiskers (meant for search and rescue operations)

Oh there was also project that could read visual data directly from cat's brain (even video feed) and there is ongoing project that can read image from human brain (without need of electrodes), even imagined image.

The human thing uses fMRI to determine blood usage of brain parts and has low resolution it can either read directly the image (which allows it to determine letter you look at) or it can be trained to read after image was processed to symbolic representation (by your brain).
This allows it to correctly determine images if they are randomly picked from database of 6 millions.

would be cool if you could remote control yourself, if theres something you dont want to do but you have to do, you could just activate the orgasm place in your brain and you really want to do that thing then.

in the future we have such devices in our brains to make us finish the school faster.

I think it's probably better to have to struggle some while making decisions in order to build character, sort of like how a butterfly has to struggle in order to live when it emerges from it's cocoon.

I've been quite recently visiting a friend of us at the university. He is doing a lot of research on brains over there. So I have seen a rat with a brain transplant in RL .
Appearantly, they have made a small breakthrough over there by graphing the position of the rat where a brain cell activates, leading to this:

A really nice pattern with clear hexagons where the brain cells mostly activate. Although they had a poster there which showed one that was a far better one than this, but you get the idea.

I've heard that the Uygurs don't like how the Han Chinese treat their dogs.

Well Uygurs are muslim, to the muslim the dog is a unclean (or unholy) animal, so i guess the Uygurs hate the Hans for eating a unholy animal (like they hate the west for alcohol) so all in all, i would presum the Han like dogs more.

It seems that that the Uygurs don't like how the Hans have dog fights instead of doing traditional folk dances like they do. I've heard rumors of the Chinese eating all kinds of creatures and using all kinds of things because of they believe that it has healing properties, but I'm not so sure about dogs. I wouldn't want to eat a dog and probably most people wouldn't know how to clean it (like a deer?) in order to eat one anyway.
