Freezeing at start

Post by Newshot_true »

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04, the game loads, but it freezes as soon as the game starts.
I've turned the settings down all the way, but I have played spring on this computer under windows.

what's your hardware spec? spring running on windows isn't saying much, driver quality is, uh, different.

I've notice that its not freezing, it is just running at a really low FPS.
Is there any way that I can fix this?

disable Lua.
if it helps, enable it again and then disable one widget after the other, and start with Area Mex. this way you'll see which widget is hte problem.

Can you check your memory usage by Spring when this happens?

from the insanely high Xorg cpu usage, i would say hardware acceleration is off there, install the proprietary drivers
