Yes, Bana already commented about the bloom there, but the screenshot is not from Spring, its just a crop of the texture. I dont think its a big issue though, cause the detail texture will reduce some of that bloom, also sunlight reflecting off snow should bloom, so I think it looks really nice.

bloom happens after the detail texture pass...

bloom is what makes that snow vibrant in that screenshot from supcom.

Spring will always render your map texture as a blurry mess and you will cry.

I will be stare sadly as I watch the map look like ass.

here's looking forward to the render/mip improvements in the next version of spring.

This texture already got a bloom pass in WICed, because such effects are hard to implement in spring (the bloom shader widget is nice, but i have seen much better looking bloom and unfortunately it blooms lua drawings and map icons too... )
If you choose the right detail texture, springs blur can minimized.

I am currently working on a remake of a map, with a similar lightbaked texture, and so far its lookin nice...

beherith bloom doesn't work that way.

the blur is not from detail texture it has to do with mip levels.

I know, but my vodka induced incoherent rambling didnt get the point through.

On a lighter note; here is a (hopefully not Caydr style) teaser of whats to come:

13 texture layers with proper normal maps make for a real nice effect, but it is not ready for realease yet. But alas, all this is in vain if *A units still look like `96

I do not know how willing you would be to do this but could you lend your skills to gundam for 1 or 2 maps?

The texture looks a bit like Altored Divide, so I think that aspiration has failed to materialize :P

Yay.BB come on,hurry it up behe ^^.

Also,on Amazon delta foe xample itsa bit hard to see units.. maybe play wiht lightning a bit more in the future?so units will stand out..

Ota units have very little team color..and unfortunatly thats not gonna change in the new models..so i tihnk its better of the map is a bit more blend if it means u can see units easily during a game.

use one of the multiple widgets that extend the teamcolour (teamplatters, xray etc) if you have trouble.

TA units were released in 97 ;)

Also, ignore flozi, he eats babies. Come map for IW ;)
