No bots appear when I start a game

Hi, I'm kinda a n00b when it comes to Spring...
I'm running Windows Vista Premium, and I'm trying to play single-player BA Spring with bots. Fixed positions, RiverGlade map, AAI ais. In the messages it says that AI is loaded but my only opponent is Gaia... the naturals... No bots appear. Otherwise the game works fine - units and buildings work.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong - any help is appreciated.

hi, no bot normally shows in player list, but they still are there

AAI tho won't play BA without a config file, while KAIK will do out the box, so by suggestion would be to try using KAIK.

oh and give the AIs some time to arrive since they'll have to build their base as well

Hm... I tried a 2 player game on the same map, this time XTA 9, and with one KAIK bot... Still no bots showed... no base, no commander...

I have a 1.8Ghz Centrino, and a Geforce 8800 GTS with 3GB RAM.
I have no clue what to do..

Enter this in the game chat:

.player 1

Then you'll see where the enemy is. It must be somewhere, else the game would have ended immediately :)
Use .player 0 to switch back to your units.
