Changelog mentions that enter should chat to last send type, either that's not working or it's ignoring messages sent by me for last send type.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have a keybinding for chatting with last send type used by the player as opposed to everyone in the game anyway?

I think a lot of people who have this problem are holding shift when they press enter to chat.Chagelog.txt wrote:Shift+enter -> send to Spectators
Re: Chatting and how little fun it is
I know the default keybindings suck, but that's not my problem, but the fact that the keybinding for sending to last send type doesn't seem to work. That's the any+enter keybind, fyi.
And I find it pretty stupid that there's no way to bind a key to send to last message type used by yourself while there is one for sending to the last send type used by everyone, including the messages you don't even see.

Well I agree it should ignore spectator chat when you are a player and can't see it.

<last send type> is no longer set by typing the prefixChangelog wrote: - Added some reasonable default keybindings for all/ally/spec chat messaging:
enter -> send to <last send type>
Ctrl+enter -> send to All
Alt+enter -> send to Allies
Shift+enter -> send to Spectators

while typing the message.)
yourself, but by Ctrl+enter, Alt+enter, and Shift+enter.
Re: Chatting and how little fun it is
Oh, so that's how it works, sort of annoying that it doesn't change when you change the prefix yourself, but at least it's sort of an improvement over 0.75.

I disagree, sometimes a player might want to tell something to the spectators, but not to the enemy.
Re: Chatting and how little fun it is
It still doesn't make sense to silently switch to spectator chat because a (for you invisible) spectator chat message was received.
