OK, this is really weird...
Up until this release shadows have worked fine. I've had them on all the time and its run wonderfully.
However, no, when I turn shadows on, it does two things.
1) The whole map is in shadow.
2) Stops shiny stuff being shinny (might be because its all in shadow I guess... if thats how it works)
Which is Kinda a massive bummer as It means I can see what the maps I'm making look like!
Has anyone else found this since the new version?
(I have a GF7800 and an AMD X2 if thats any help)

Re: Weird shadow Issue?
try this... It worked for me...
In game type
/shadowmap 1 1024
if that displays correctly then type
/shadowmap 1 2048
if showing correctly type
/shadowmap 1 4096
If correct and you want more detail type
/shadowmap 1 8192 <<< will break big time on an ati card.
Make sense?

Alas....
It does not seem to do anything for me, nither /shadowmap or .shadowmap... they dont seem to change anything for me...
I've also updated the graphics drivers to see if i was out of date, but thats no help (though spring runs faster now , WOOT)
Also... when I start spring, I know I can disable shadows (if i had them on) with F2 (or i think its disableling them!)... anyway the maps look fine when I hit it but if I flick back to with shadows, bam... the whole maps in darkness.

Re: Weird shadow Issue?
The command is /shadows 1|0 [res], for example /shadows 1 2048

Peet, your a star (you are to forb...

Worked a charm... somehow my shadow map size was set to 1... very odd!
