Unable to play skirmish mode

I've downloaded the appropriate files to play Spring in single player skirmish mode, but when I try to start it an error says that the file unitsync.dll 53 could not be found. How can I fix this?

you need to install the SpringSP tool in your spring folder or it wont work.

Its like not putting that photoshop plugin in the photoshop plugins folder and putting it in the hello kity pictures folder.

O.k. the sarcasm doesn't help. I did install the Spring SP program into the Spring folder. Does it need to go in the mods folder?

No, it should work.

You can try hosting a locked and/or passworded game in the multiplayer lobby if you have a permanent network connection.

I got this error, after I installed spring into a subfolder of an installed spring version and omitted the multiplayer functions and the maps (v0.75b2).

A "full install" into a new folder was successful for me.
