TASclient.exe wont start from startmenu shortcut

when I click on the TASClient.exe, it works.
when I make a shortcut to TASClient.exe it works.
when I use "Am Startmenu anheften" which means "Add to Startmenu/taskbar" I get this:

(windows xp)

More and more same error windows pop up and you have to press Return a few times, quite fast otherwise it will not go away.

In windows (the bugs fixed in Vista but not in earlier versions), if you pin something to the start menu as is, its working directory is the start menu, not the location of whats pinned. Creating a shortcut fixes that by changing the working directory via the shortcut.

yes, I thought so because of the "no mods found" message that somehow it messes up directories.
but a lot of players still use xp (i think) spring should react in a better way and not spam message boxes

Just create a shortcut to it, and pin THAT to the start menu.

the filenames on my pc can only be seen be me.
the crash happens on every computer with xp (i guess)
