Out of map borders in FPS mode!

Post by Pendrokar »

Quite easily when in FPS mode in an flying vehicle you can fly out of the map, though the camera seems to stay in the map. most easily to see when you have other units guarding your FPS flying unit.
The thing is I can't confirm my account for the Mantis Bug tracker(doesn't send an E-Mail), so if someone who is registered can notify about this bug, do it! :-)

Thanks for the will to help but thats a old bug that most people already know so I dont think its necessary to report. I think no one is worried with fixing it since its a extremelly hard and unworth to exploit bug.

Well from what I've read you can potentially pick up your comm, fly outside of the map, avoiding all AA, and then combobm at will.
This seems rather unsporting.

Yah, this bug is kinda hard to do, but possible. It mainly revolves around glitch in FPS mode, but not exactly high priority.

AA is most times useless against a aerial combomb anyway since, like the bombers, only extremely heavy aa can take the combomb out before it reaches the destination (as long as it is not a lot behind of course).

Actually, an Atlas or Valkyrie is fairly vulnerable to T1 anti-air fire.

But then the missiles start to hit the atlas is generally already over the target. Unleash the enemy got some forward AA positions.

If you have AA all along your front and your enemy can use fps mode do avoid it and go drop their comm into your base I call that unfair.

Well, nobody would fly a comm bomb over the front unless they wanted to hit the front anyway! It isn't like the best option is always a frontal assault.

Besides, FPSing a plane outside the map takes far too much time and effort to be practical. Somebody used to do that in Fissure betas...

Actually, by using the guard order on a FPS'able aircraft, you can, say, have an entire squadron of gunships follow you off the map and into the back of the enemy base, bypassing all non-LRMT AA and fighter patrols.

MEGA SERIOUS EXPLOIT FIX PLZ
