TASClient Stall: "Getting spring version from spring.ex

Post by Felix the Cat »

Yeah, so I figured I haven't played Spring in a couple of weeks, so I started up the TASClient.

Unfortunately, it didn't even start. On the loading screen, it stalled at "Getting spring version from spring.exe". As far as I can tell, nothing on my machine has changed since the last time I used the client, and it worked fine then.

Any ideas?

Mine does this sometimes, you usually have to wait untill it progresses and then it doesnt do it again, or reboot PC.

Just kill the tasclient.exe process and try again. No need to reboot.

I went through this same thing the other day. I hadn't started spring in over a month... My solution was to just leave it on in the background: it eventually started.

Just delete script.txt from the spring directory and it'll come straight up
