Can't join friend's server, he can't join my server either

Really weird problem, we have this problem where, if we try to join each other's game, there'll be a timer countdown for the client (person who's trying to connect). For the host, he will see the person's name in Red, and the game will tell host to wait for all players to connect

The strange thing is, we both have no problems connecting to others' games. So, anyone got ideas and solutions to this problem? We've played before many times together. It's just that all of a sudden, we get this issue. I even changed my firewall, but it doesn't work.

This seems to be a router problem. You need port 8452 UDP forwarded from the router to your computer. How you do it is dependant on the router. This needs to be done for the one hosting.

You say you have played before togther. Were any of you hosting ? (if not then it is not relevant for your current problem).

Yeah I used to host it. This is really weird...I'm not using a router...

What operating system do you use ? Does your friend uses a router ?

I'm using WinXP. Nope he doesn't use a router

Ok now I can join his game, but strangely enough, no one can join my game =\
