Error Sending Data. 10049

Post by Saktoth »

When the game starts it gets as far as 'connecting to server' and then crashes and i get an 'Error Sending Data. 10049'.

Im using a new computer, my other on the same network works fine. Im using windows vista (The other is XP). Spring test works fine, so its obviously a connection error.

Anyone know what this is?

I still have this problem. I am using a router, but my other computer on the same router works fine. I am using XP, but other people with XP dont seem to have this problem. I have tried forwarding port 8452 and enabling DMZ, with utterly no progress.

Help?

I found this topic because I just ran across the same problem.

In my case, it turned out to be some problem with the DHCP server causing the computer to (temporarily) lose its IP address for a few seconds now and then.

Try to set a fixed IP address and see if that helps...
