How is your stalling tragetory?

My one is like this (most times):
*In the very beggining of the game, I dont have stall because of the initial metal storage.
*After some time I begin to have metal stall and continue until teching up
*Some time after Teching up I begin to have energy stall due to the high waste of lv2 buildings and my unnatention to energy since it was up until now.
*A few time after entering energy stall I recover myself and the golden age begins (No stall).
*A lot of time later I begin to have some metal stall cause i was owning the enemy too much to pay attention to economy (Around this time of the game im either winning or was already been erazed... :P ).
*The game generally doesnt lasts much after that so I dont worry about fixing it.

TA Based games:

Metal:

Ideally you shouldnt stall earlygame where possible, and ligner around halfway.

Midgame and lategame you should get as close to the golden points, aka 0 resources, with n incoming and 95% - 110% of n outgoing. This overusage or slight underusage of metal can give you a huge amount of free metal, because of the flawed resource system in spring.

Energy:

Never stall energy. Always build 1 or 2 metalmakers early game and always use the metalmaker AI. Always build energy storage, it makes the metalmaker AI algorithm more accurate and in the long run gives you much more metal. It also allows your energy usage to become more affficient and gives you that little buffer when your energy reserves are huge but your usage jumps upwards, such as when that vulcan/buzzsaw comes online and starts firing and needs the constant juice to fire continuosly but you aint generating enough.

Factories:

Dont build a second factory, assign builders to assist the first one, its much more efficient and cheaper. Only build multiple factories at lvl 2 when your economy is huge, and build lots of different typs for variety.

EE

Energy:

Build it when you see it falling, and only as much as is needed. Remember there're no metalmakers to soak up spare energy in EE, and the main use of energy is to fuel unit construction and power lvl 2 mexes and cloaked attack units.

Always build geothermal processing units, they're hundreds of times more efficient and give both energy and metal, a geothermal is like 3 or 4 lvl 2 mexes but without the nergy cost, all rolled in one with a lvl 2 power plant for free. They're gold mines.

And always build energy storage. If your command unit is blown up and youve got no energy storage then the game is over, you cannot possibly build anything with zero storage.

Metal:

Expand and build metal extractors. Always build armed mexes/covert mexes.

Factories:

Dont assist, just build a second factory. And dont forget air. Build at least 2-3 air support pads for each factory.

Gundam

Metal and Energy:

Build mexes where you can but these are not the main source of a Gundam economy. The gundam economy can get very large using cheap resource generators, but the gundam economy is a metalmaker economy.

Build metalmakers and energy makers (zeon minovsky generators). And do remember minovsky generators when turned on become radar jammers. These units can be spammed or rebuilt easily in Gundam, as the majority of costs involved are inmaking offensive units.

If your economy is totally destroyed, rebuild it, you can rebuild a large economy in Gundam very very quickly for very little cost, economy in gundam is simple. Build energy producers and metalmakers.

Factories:

Build multiple factories. If you tell builders to help assist your economy will go down the drain.

Nanoblobz

Energy and Metal:

Spam sheep and megasheep. Mega sheep are good offensive units but its always best to have 2 groups. One for offensive purposes and one for resource generation, as each mega sheep produces 300 of each. Its best to have an autofac or two set aside solely for building resource units.

Factories:

Build autofacs. Set them to spam 1 type of unit and set them on repeat, set them to goto a rally point and forget about them. Set sheep to help assist but remember, if a unit pops out every second dont add more assistants. A unit cannot be built faster than a second in spring, no matter how many helpers you add. Instead build a second autofac and have them both pumping out units.

If you want 2 knights for every strider, build twice as many autofacs for building knights as striders. Remember to build a mix of units, and remember to pick and match for the situation. Marching a mass of units headlong into an enemy base wont work unless your mass of units is 2x the size of their base, and you approach with a tactical advantage.

Wrong.

Edit: Nevermind, thought the first bit said you SHOULD stall early on ^^

The factory thing is silly though, watch some TA games, you'll see people solely sticking with level 1 for entire games, using multiple factories, and for good reason

Yes sometimes multiple factories is a good idea. However factories cost more for their buildspeed than a conbot. So in XTA and I guess BA its best to have a primary lvl 1 factory your commander guards up at the front lines.

in xta you have the l1 factory at the back, pretty much ungaurded and the l2 at the front around your army and defences, for convienece and protection, the idea being they wont get through it to the unprotected rear, and the presence of your army discourages attacks on the l2 lab.

You pretty much want to come as close to stalling as you possibly can throughout the course of the game...

Gundam:

Factories cost less than builders in Gundam and have a far higher workertime, you should only ever use builders to assist factories when there is possible way that they can be reclaiming/assisting/repairing somehwere else.

In AA, the L1 kbot and vehicle labs that it is definitely worth building them if you feel like it would help - obviously, two vehicle labs next to each other is pointless, but if you want a shorter supply line it's sometimes worth building an L1 vlab closer to the front lines (I often do this on Centerrock).

I love this thread because everyone pretends to know what a tragetory is.
