Playing TA Spring with no LOS

Post by TMoney11111 »

Ok, so I am relatively new to TA Spring. I have tried it before but I usually just play TA considering that its much easier to edit units/maps which I love doing. I like to mess around and play skirmishes, but I noticed that on spring SP there is no option to disable the line of sight. The best I found was using the .spectator cheat, but then you lose control of your units... Is it possible to play with no LOS on spring?

no, he's saying he wants to have permanent LOS for the entire map...pressing L just gives indication if what you can and cannot see.

as far as i know there is no way to do that. i do recommend playing and learning the game though, because you're missing out on what all the fuss is about.

Learning the game? Don't get me wrong I'm not a noob, I just like to see what the ai is doing. I've been fiddling around with different ai's trying to find challanging ones and make them better. Also, my big thing with spring is that unit editing is, well, something I have no clue how to do, so I cant just make the Adv. Radar's range longer. I am used to playing with 3rd party TA, with the cloakable super long range radar tower heheh. There isn't an easy to use Unit Editor I am missing is there? Well anyways, I guess I'll just have to try and learn

no editors for this game are easy to use 8) but there's a big community that's mostly very helpful, and lots of documentation

You can open the mod sdz with winzip or the sd7 with 7-zip, and you can see the plain textfiles there describing the units and their weapons and all. Mod stat editing is quite easy to start doing in spring.
You then 7-zip the mod you edited (to a different name than the original probably) and rename it to .sd7 and it's ready.
