TA Sprng is a sweet game but since I downloaded it a few days ago I've only been able to get in one game. Almost always it's like 10 passworded games with 1 person in each, and two games each with some different bs mod.
I don't understand how there can be so much activity on the forums and so little activity in the actual game. If people keep making hundreds of mods while there is no way for the client to switch between them according to what the host is using people are going to get frustrated and leave.
You get a situation where there are only four people in the lobby who want to play a game of TA Spring, one has OTA, one has XTA with some bs evolva x2+++ models or whatever, and the last has AA... well there's no game going to happen there unless each person reinstalls the game.
There are almost as many mods going right now as there are people in the lobby at one time so come on!

You don't have to reinstall the whole game. Just go into your spring folder, and renames .ufo into .off, for instance, or move away the /Objects3D/ folder. You don't even need to relog (but you do need to exit and re-enter any battleroom.
Having the battlroom show the list of unit different, with the name of people who are different is already a big improvment. Too bad we can't kick someone who doesn't have the units and doesn't answer anything.
And I wish Spring to soon have some mod management thingy integrated in its lobby.

FA read the dates on the posts :) (It is actually kinda funny he was complaining about this way back then: With all the mods we have now, his head would explode
) BTW that was back when the lobby didnt have a way to manage multiple mods without the user overwriting the default mod.
