Linux packages missing .bin file?

there doesn't seem to be a bin file in these packages:

Am i wrong or is this a little mistake of the devs?

It clearly says it's only the data. You will need to compile Spring yourself, since in the Linux world, it seems, noone ever wants to give you binaries. :/

Oh, the readme file gave the impression i just worked out of the box.
So i'll have to compile this i assume? http://prdownload.berlios.de/taspring-l ... rc.tar.bz2
But how do i do that? I am only used to ./cofigure , make ..etc?
Forgive me my pottentially noobish questions.
