Ok I had read about the .spring/mods folder in home but in my home folder there is no such folder as home/.spring/mods or home/.spring/maps is it ok to just create them

Where is the Mod Folder in Ubuntu 9.10?
Hey I'm new to Spring. I set up Spring on my vista computer after a little work but now I'm trying to set it up on my Ubuntu Linux laptop.
